Honestly, one of my mottos in life is to work smart, not hard. So the fact that you're working smart and just using someone else's code and tweaking it to work for you makes sense to me! Besides, when working on a project, sometimes it makes more sense to save time and use something that already works instead of struggling to make something different work!
