I definitely agree that soft skills are difficult to quantify and measure objectively. Although one thing that doesn't help in the tech industry (from what I've seen in my own graduating class) is that few people actually have soft skills. In that way, often times the interviewer doesn't even have a bone they can throw the interviewee when it comes to the soft skills questions.

Hopefully this article will make things a little more clear for tech grads.
